About the Solidarity Is Cohort 2026
The cohort is designed to help emerging activists and organizers strengthen their understanding and practice of transformative solidarity. It builds on the Solidarity Is Practice Guide and provides practical tools that participants can use within their organizations and movements.
The programme brings participants together as a community of practice. It emphasizes accountability, shared learning, trust, mutual support, and sustainable engagement in long-term movement work.

Programme Format and Sessions
The Solidarity Is Cohort includes six live virtual sessions and group practice. Participants will meet once each week through Zoom.
The six sessions are scheduled for:

• October 15, 2026
• October 22, 2026
• October 29, 2026
Each weekly session runs from 12:00 to 2:30 p.m. EDT and includes a ten-minute break. Participants will engage through presentations, chat activities, audio contributions, and optional breakout-room discussions.

Who Can Apply?
The cohort is intended for emerging activists who have between one and three years of experience.
Applicants must:
• Be connected to a movement organization or group
• Have one to three years of activist or organizing experience
• Be prepared to participate in the six-week virtual programme
Only one person from each organization may apply. This rule is intended to allow the cohort to include participants from a wider range of organizations.
Training Resources and Accessibility
Participants are encouraged to join the Zoom sessions through a computer or laptop when possible. The training uses screen sharing, slides, music, chat, audio participation, and breakout-room activities.
Confirmed accessibility and participation support includes:

✓ A technical and accessibility support person during training
✓ Optional participation in breakout-room conversations
✓ The choice to accept or decline invitations to speak
