Sustainable Governance Fellowship for Researchers from Africa
The FRIAS Sustainable Governance Fellowship Programme is intended for researchers based at African institutions.
Applicants of all nationalities may be considered if they are based at an institution in Africa and meet the programme’s academic and mobility requirements.
Candidates must:
• Hold a completed PhD.
• Have at least eight years of postdoctoral experience.
• Have at least six months of research or study experience at an academic institution outside the country where they obtained their first academic degree.
• Work in the humanities or social sciences.
The fellowship provides six months of funding. The application deadline is 18 September 2026 at 13:00.
