About the Eric Bleumink Fellowship
The Eric Bleumink Fellowship provides grants to promising students who want to obtain a master’s degree at the University of Groningen.

Eligibility Requirements
Candidates considered for the Eric Bleumink Fellowship should meet the following requirements:
• Receive provisional or unconditional admission to a master’s programme before February.
• Demonstrate excellent academic performance, preferably supported by recommendation letters.
• Have excellent grades from their bachelor’s or undergraduate studies.
• Meet the English-language proficiency requirements of the selected programme.
• Be available for the entire programme period.
• Be able to participate in the full programme.
• Be in good health so that health insurance in the Netherlands can be arranged.
• Hold the nationality of a country included in the programme’s eligible-country list.
• Have no other means of financing the proposed studies.

How the Nomination Process Works
Applicants cannot directly apply for the Eric Bleumink Fellowship.
The nomination process follows these steps:
• Apply for an eligible University of Groningen master’s programme.
• Complete the master’s application before 1 December to allow sufficient processing time.
• Receive provisional or unconditional admission before February.
• Wait for the Admission Office and the relevant faculty Admission Board to assess eligible candidates.
• Receive notification before 1 February if selected for nomination.
The university advises candidates not to send separate fellowship applications or contact the university to request nomination.

Selection and Notification
The University of Groningen Admission Office and the Admission Boards of its faculties decide which applicants will receive a fellowship nomination.
Only candidates who obtain provisional or unconditional admission before February can be considered. Applicants selected for nomination will receive notification before 1 February.
Candidates who do not receive a notification from the Admission Office by that date have not been selected as fellowship nominees.
