About the CGI Scholarship 2027
Chulabhorn Graduate Institute is a post-graduate academic institute established in 2005. It was created under the initiative of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana. CGI focuses on interactive teaching techniques used in leading educational and research institutions. Its goal is to develop effective thinkers and leaders who can contribute to sustainable development needs in their countries.
The institute currently offers Master’s degree programs in Applied Biological Sciences: Environmental Health, Environmental Toxicology, and Chemical Sciences. As a result, this scholarship is designed for applicants with relevant academic preparation and scientific laboratory research experience.

Duration and Academic Schedule
The award period includes six-week refresher courses followed by two years of Master’s degree study. However, scholarship continuation depends on an annual review of the scholar’s satisfactory progress.
In addition, CGI may terminate the scholarship if the student does not meet the set performance criteria or does not follow CGI rules. The refresher courses are tentatively planned for June 2027, and the academic program is scheduled to start in August 2027.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must satisfy these conditions:
• Be under 30 years old, with no exemption
• Hold a Bachelor degree with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75
• Have studied a relevant field in Sciences, such as Chemistry, Biology, Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, or Environmental Sciences
• Applicants from Medical Sciences, including Medicine and Medical Technology, may apply
• Applicants from Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences may apply
• Applicants from other related fields are also welcome to apply
• Have experience in scientific laboratory research
• Show English proficiency, preferably through TOEFL, IELTS, a university letter stating English as the medium of instruction, or another specified proof
• Submit a statement of purpose explaining their study interests

• Full academic transcript at undergraduate level or higher
• Three recommendation letters
• Statement of purpose explaining interest in the study
• Medical history report
• Other supporting documents for application screening
CGI also states that submitted scholarship documents will not be returned.

Citizens of Colombo Plan current member countries must complete the CGI Scholarship Application Form using the designated web link for that category. Applicants from other countries must use the separate CGI Scholarship Application Form web link for citizens from other countries.
Moreover, CGI states that applications will not receive consideration without the application form and supporting documents submitted according to the procedure through the correct web link.
