Applications are open for the Global Majority AI Fellowship 2026. The fellowship will be held in Geneva as part of the United Nations Global Dialogue on AI Governance. It supports people working on artificial intelligence, technology justice, ethics, digital rights, and equitable innovation, while also linking the Geneva meeting with the second meeting in New York.
What the Fellowship Offers
The fellowship is fully funded and does not charge an application fee. It is set up to support participants exploring how artificial intelligence affects society, policy, justice, culture, and communities around the world. In addition, it provides space for workshops, mentorship, research, storytelling, and networking.

Who Can Apply for the Global Majority AI Fellowship 2026
• Applicants must be based in countries that receive Official Development Assistance (ODA).
• The opportunity is open to emerging as well as experienced leaders and experts.
• Eligible backgrounds include activism, local government, student work, research, and technology.
• The main subject areas are AI governance, digital rights, data justice, and environmental or climate justice, or related fields.
• Applicants should show a strong focus on the global dimensions of AI policy.
