The China Youth Summit 2026 will take place in Shenzhen, China, as an international youth leadership program by Youth Break the Boundaries. The summit combines leadership development, innovation-based teamwork, cultural exchange, and global networking in an in-person format.
About China Youth Summit 2026
China Youth Summit 2026 carries the theme “Empowering Youth Leadership Through Innovation and Technology for a Sustainable Future.” Through this theme, the program encourages young people to build ideas, discuss perspectives, and create solutions connected to sustainable development.
The program places strong focus on the Innovative Project Competition. During this activity, delegates develop and present projects connected to selected SDG areas. These areas are SDG 4, SDG 8, SDG 9, SDG 11, and SDG 16.
Summit Format and Activities
The four-day summit includes airport assistance, registration, opening ceremony, gala dinner, city tour, university visit, project group presentations, awarding and cultural night, closing ceremony, certificate claims, hotel check-out, and airport assistance. However, the agenda is tentative and may change.
The official timeline lists the main summit from 9 November 2026 to 12 November 2026 in Shenzhen. It also lists mentoring sessions for delegates from 20 July 2026 to 8 November 2026.

The official guidebook lists several items for registered and confirmed participants.

Selected fully funded delegates receive the listed program benefits, including airport transfer, hotel, seminar kit, meals, and transportation during the event. However, the guidebook states that airplane tickets and visa are not included. It also lists visa and personal expenses as not included for all participants.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must follow the official registration eligibility criteria:
• Applicants must be 15 to 40 years old
• The program is open to all nationalities and academic backgrounds
• Applicants must never have been convicted of a crime
• Applicants must not be affiliated with any extremist organization
• IELTS or TOEFL is not required
Fully Funded and Self-Funded Tracks
The summit offers two registration schemes. The Fully Funded Scheme is competitive and includes registration form review, required documents, essay submission, and interview assessment. Fully funded delegates pay a USD 10 registration fee and do not pay the program fee if selected.
Meanwhile, the Self-Funded Scheme allows participants to secure participation directly without the competitive selection process. Self-funded participants pay a USD 15 registration fee and the program fee based on the payment schedule.
The guidebook also explains an additional rule for fully funded applicants who request visa-supporting documents before the fully funded interview stage or interview announcement. In that case, they must pay Program Fee Batch 1 for document processing and administrative support. If they are selected as fully funded delegates, the payment will be reimbursed according to the stated system.
How to Register
The registration process starts on the official website or official registration page. Applicants select either the Fully Funded or Self-Funded registration type. Then, they create an account using their full name, active email address, and password.
After logging in, applicants complete the submission form from the dashboard. The form covers personal details, professional profile, entry information, and miscellaneous information. The miscellaneous section includes essay upload and theme selection. After that, applicants review the form, make payment if required, and complete the final submission.
Selection and Acceptance
Fully funded places are limited and competitive. According to the official timeline notes, the selection depends on essay quality and interview results.
The fully funded interview announcement is scheduled from 10 August 2026 to 20 August 2026. Interviews are scheduled from 21 August 2026 to 31 August 2026. Finally, the fully funded result announcement is listed from 10 September 2026 to 15 September 2026.
After form submission, applicants wait for review. Once the form is validated and accepted, the applicant receives a Letter of Acceptance. For self-funded applicants, the LoA confirms complete and valid registration. However, for fully funded applicants, the LoA only confirms that the application has passed the first review stage and will continue to essay review and interview selection.
