About the Citadel Conference Travel Grant

Selection Criteria

Applicants must first satisfy the basic eligibility requirements.

Citadel also considers:

• Qualifications
• Publication record
• Previous awards
• Academic or professional background relevant to Citadel’s work
• Level of participation in the selected conference
• Potential impact of conference attendance on the applicant’s work

Applicants presenting papers or posters, or otherwise actively participating in a conference, are prioritised. This specific presentation or involvement preference does not apply to the Grace Hopper Celebration.

For conferences that publish research papers, preference may also be given to applicants who have submitted a paper to that conference.

How the Grant Is Provided

Citadel arranges several grant benefits directly for selected recipients.

Confirmed arrangements include:

✓ Conference passes purchased directly by Citadel where applicable
✓ Flights and hotels booked through Citadel’s travel agency
✓ Uber vouchers for transportation to and from the airport and during the conference week
✓ Meal stipend details provided to recipients after selection

Selected applicants are expected to attend their conference in person. Remote or virtual participation does not qualify for the grant.
