The Rockefeller University SURF 2026 offers undergraduate students an opportunity to spend 10 weeks (June 1 – August 7, 2026) at The Rockefeller University in New York City, USA, conducting hands-on laboratory research in life/physical sciences under expert mentorship.

Study Level: Undergraduate (sophomores & juniors in life or physical sciences); international students eligible.
Coverage: Fully Funded — stipend of US $6,500 for the 10-week program; free housing for students who cannot commute.
Program Benefits: Intensive lab research under faculty, postdoctoral or senior graduate student mentoring in fields such as biochemistry, structural biology & chemistry, molecular/cell/developmental biology, immunology, virology/microbiology, neuroscience, physics, mathematical biology. Weekly journal-club style discussion of scientific publications, special lecture series by faculty, and final poster session where participants present their summer research results. Social & cultural enrichment activities (e.g., trips in New York City) along with full access to campus amenities in Manhattan.
