Who Can Apply?

Applicants must satisfy CERN’s Technical Studentship eligibility requirements.

• Be a national of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State.
• Have completed at least 18 months, or three semesters, of studies in the relevant field by the time of selection.
• Remain enrolled as a full-time student throughout the studentship.
• Have good knowledge of English or French.
• PhD students and PhD holders are not eligible.

CERN currently states that applications from Pakistani, Lithuanian, Latvian, Cypriot and Croatian nationals cannot be considered because the ceiling defined under Article II.5 of the Associate Membership Agreement has been reached.
