Who Can Apply?
Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements stated by the Al Qasimi Foundation.
Candidates must:
• Be a current undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing at an accredited university, or be a recent graduate who completed their studies within the previous two years
• Have relevant coursework or a degree in an applicable field
• Demonstrate a strong interest in Ras Al Khaimah, the UAE, and the Gulf region
• Meet the stated English-language requirement when English is not their first language

Programme Structure
The internship includes several structured learning and professional-development components.
Orientation and Onboarding
Interns complete an induction covering the Foundation’s mission, ongoing projects, research ethics, and cultural awareness.
Mentorship
Each intern is paired with a staff supervisor and mentor who provide guidance, feedback, and support.
Learning and Development
Weekly workshops and brown-bag sessions introduce interns to areas such as policy writing, nonprofit operations, and development issues in the Gulf.
Capstone Project
Each intern completes a major final project. Examples include a policy brief, research report, or creative media project.
The final output is published or presented through the Al Qasimi Foundation.
Cultural Immersion
Participants may join excursions, service days, and community events that connect them with the heritage and communities of Ras Al Khaimah.
Showcase Event
Each intake concludes with a presentation session where interns share their work with Foundation staff, partners, and community members.
Selection Criteria
Admission to the internship programme is competitive.
The selection process considers:
• Academic achievement, including coursework, GPA, and honours
• Alignment between the applicant’s skills, experience, and current Foundation projects
• Motivation and clarity about how the internship supports the applicant’s academic and professional goals
Preference is given to applicants planning graduate studies or seeking practical research experience in education, public policy, or closely related disciplines.
Applications are reviewed by a selection committee consisting of Al Qasimi Foundation Program Managers and the Executive Director.
