ORIX USA Scholars Program 2026 for Undergraduate Students

The ORIX USA Scholars Program supports students who plan to continue their education at an accredited four-year college or university while pursuing select fields of study. Established by ORIX Corporation USA and administered by Scholarship America, the programme provides $5,000 awards for undergraduate study only.

About the ORIX USA Scholars Program

The ORIX USA Scholars Program was created to assist students who plan to continue their education in college while pursuing selected academic areas. The programme is administered by Scholarship America, which reviews eligible applications according to the programme criteria.

The scholarship is intended for undergraduate study only. Selected recipients receive a $5,000 award, and up to four awards will be granted.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must meet the programme’s academic, study-plan, location, and background criteria. The scholarship is open to eligible students who are continuing into undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university.

Applicants must:

• Be a high school senior, graduate, or current college undergraduate
• Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year
• Plan to pursue a degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, marketing, communications, technology, real estate, or human resources
• Reside in or plan to attend college in Illinois, Massachusetts, Ohio, New York, or Texas

Applicants must also meet at least one additional criterion related to low socioeconomic status, foster care status, or first-generation college student status.

Additional Eligibility Criteria

The official page requires applicants to meet at least one of the following conditions:

• Low socioeconomic status, with family income at or below 150% of the current U.S. Department of Health & Human Services poverty guidelines for household size
• Foster care status, meaning the applicant is currently in foster care or has aged out of the foster care system
• First-generation college student status, meaning neither parent nor guardian has earned a degree from a four-year college or university

Employees of ORIX USA and their immediate families, including spouses, dependents, or members of their household, are not eligible to apply.

Required Documents

Applicants must upload the required supporting materials electronically. The application will not be complete unless all required materials are submitted online.

Required materials include:

• A current, complete transcript of grades
• A transcript showing the student name, school name, grades, and credit hours for each course and term
• Copy of the first two pages of the most recently filed IRS Form 1040 used for the Financial Information section of the application

Applicants are instructed to black out all social security numbers and bank account information on the IRS Form 1040 copy.

If SAT or ACT scores are provided but are not listed on the high school transcript, applicants must upload a separate copy of the test score report. Applicants uploading a college transcript are not required to provide those scores.

Selection Process

Scholarship recipients are selected by Scholarship America. ORIX Corporation USA officers and employees do not take part in the selection process.

Selection is based on:

• Academic performance
• Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
• Work experience
• Statement of educational and career goals and objectives
• Unusual personal or family circumstances
• Financial need

Financial need will be considered, and recipients must demonstrate need. All applicants must accept the final selection decision.

Notification and Payment

All applicants will be notified in August. Notifications are sent by email, and applicants are advised to use an active personal email address when setting up their account.

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of ORIX Corporation USA. Payment is made in September.

Application Deadline

The application deadline is July 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM CT. The official page also states that the application will close on July 8, 2026, or when 200 applications have been received.
