Expenses Applicants Must Cover

The scholarship does not include every cost. Therefore, applicants should prepare for the following expenses:

• Visa application fees
• Additional airfare expenses
• Personal costs, such as travel insurance, internet access, laundry, extra meals, or items not listed under coverage

Who Can Apply

Applicants must satisfy the official eligibility criteria:

• Applicants from all nationalities may apply
• Applicants must be 17 to 40 years old
• Applicants must have an interest in travel and culture
• Applicants must have involvement in social and youth activities
• Applicants must demonstrate leadership potential
• Applicants must be physically and mentally healthy
• Applicants must be ready to document all activities

How the Application Works

First, applicants complete the pre-application step. Then, they buy the AYFN e-book product required for the application process. AYFN confirms that there is no application fee, although the e-book purchase is required.

Next, applicants complete the online application form. The final submission deadline is 15 July 2026. After submission, applicants receive an email confirmation that AYFN has received the application package.

Selection Process and Dates

Terms Applicants Should Know

The scholarship has limited availability. Also, one payment receipt can be used by one applicant only.

Applicants cannot apply for both scholarship types. Instead, they must select either Gold or Silver. In addition, AYFN states that the judges’ decision is final.

For payment, PayPal is available for USD only and may not support some countries, such as Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, and Timor Leste. Meanwhile, Xendit payments are converted into Indonesian Rupiah because AYFN’s head office is in Indonesia. Xendit supports major cards worldwide, including Visa, Mastercard, and JCB.
