The Charles Wallace Pakistan Visiting Fellowship 2026-27 gives mid-career professionals from Pakistan the chance to spend a short period in the UK. It is managed by the British Council in Pakistan, and the fellowship may be based at a university department, a professional institution, or an arts organisation.
Funding and Support
Selected fellows receive both academic and financial support. The package includes:

Eligibility for Charles Wallace Pakistan Visiting Fellowship 2026-27
To apply, candidates must:
• Be Pakistani nationals living in Pakistan
• Be between 30 and 55 years old
• Have a written invitation from a UK institution or arts body
• Normally hold a doctoral degree if they plan to research in a UK university
• Apply only in the approved subject areas
• Not have studied in the UK, US, Canada, Australia, Europe, or China during the past 5 years
• Not have previously received a Charles Wallace award
• Avoid AI tools in support statements, because AI-generated applications may be disqualified

Application Steps
Applicants must contact the prospective UK host institution themselves first. After securing an invitation, they should complete the online application form, save a copy, and email the completed form to cwpt@britishcouncil.org.pk by Friday, 5 June 2026, together with the letter of invitation and a CV that includes a photograph. Interview and Award Start
Short-listed candidates will be invited for an interview, either in person or online, in late June or early July 2026. Successful fellows can start their awards from September 2026 onwards.
