Google Data Center Community AI Fellowship 2026 is a virtual fellowship for community-focused leaders who want to use AI and technology to solve local problems. It is an initiative of Watson Institute and Google, and it gives fellows training, mentorship, financial support, and access to a strong international network.
What the Fellowship Includes
This fellowship is fully funded and funded by Google. Fellows receive entrepreneurship training with AI skills development, expert mentorship, access to Google’s AI tools and resources, and a chance to join a global network of entrepreneurs and leaders. They also design and lead a Basecamp community event and receive a $1,000 community development stipend.
In addition, fellows may receive extra opportunities such as Google Career Certificate scholarships and speaking engagements. The program also includes weekly sessions, online summits, and virtual workshops.
Who Can Apply for Google Data Center Community AI Fellowship 2026
The fellowship is open to applicants who meet these criteria:
• At least 18 years old
• Based in or creating impact within a Google Data Center Community in the USA, Finland, the UK, or the Netherlands
• Founder, entrepreneur, or community leader using AI and technology in their venture
• Venture showing early traction, such as pilot programs, active users, or measurable impact
• Strong community connection and a proven record of positive change
• Non-profit or for-profit initiative that is actively serving communities and solving local challenges
• Able to fully participate in the 16-week fellowship
• Available for the virtual immersive from 1 September to 11 September 2026
• Able to join weekly virtual workshops every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
Program Schedule and Commitment
The program runs for 16 weeks, from 1 September 2026 to 14 January 2027. Fellows should expect a total weekly commitment of 8 to 10 hours. The virtual immersive takes place from 1 September to 11 September 2026.
Application and Selection Process

The admissions committee reviews all applications, and shortlisted candidates are invited for a 20-minute online interview. Final decisions will be announced by 3 August 2026, and the program begins on 1 September 2026.
