Apply for the 2026 Google Creative Fellowship in USA for Emerging Creatives

The 2026 Google Creative Fellowship is now accepting submissions of interest from emerging creatives in the United States. Created for early-career talent, the program gives participants exposure to Google’s in-house creative teams through practical work experience and a structured fellowship environment. Google says the program also includes mentorship, networking opportunities, inspirational talks, an orientation, a Fellowship project, and a supportive creative community.

Overview of the Fellowship

Google presents the Creative Fellowship as a program for emerging creative talent with 0 to 5 years of experience. The fellowship is intended for people who have a clear creative point of view and a passion for making, storytelling, and craft. Applicants are encouraged to showcase work that best represents their abilities, since different Google teams are looking for different skill sets.

This opportunity is not described as an internship. Instead, Google states that it is a six-month paid contractor role, with selected fellows employed as freelancers through one of Google’s staffing partners. Compensation is based on location and will be discussed during the interview process. Google also specifies that relocation assistance is not available.

Fellowship Location and In-Office Requirement

The 2026 program will be held in the United States. Available roles are based in New York City, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, depending on the team and position. To take part, applicants must already be located in the United States, have work authorization there, and be able to begin full-time work in June 2026.

Google also states that the fellowship is not remote. While exact office expectations vary by team, fellows should expect to work in the office at least three times each week.

Fellowship Period

The official timeline shows that the program runs from June 2026 to December 2026.

Google has listed opportunities across four creative groups and allows applicants to select up to two roles. The company notes that listed roles may change.

In addition, applicants must be located in the United States, have permission to work in the country, and be available for full-time participation starting in June 2026.
