Overview
The ICYF Young Climate Volunteers Camp 2026 is an international youth volunteer programme focused on climate action and resilience. It is organised by the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) and takes place at the Istanbul Marmaracik Camp in Istanbul, Türkiye. This camp aims to equip young volunteers with practical skills to respond to climate-related challenges and strengthen community resilience.
Theme
The camp theme for 2026 is “Empowering Youth for Climate Action to Build Climate-Resilient Communities.”
Dates and Duration
- For young male participants: 03 – 08 April 2026
- For young female participants: 10 – 15 April 2026
The programme runs for six days per group, with separate sessions for male and female volunteers.
Funding and Benefits
The camp is fully funded and includes:
- Local transportation in Istanbul covered by the host organisation (with a domestic travel reimbursement up to 3,500 TL for residents of Türkiye)
- Food and accommodation
- International travel reimbursement up to USD 250
- A city tour organised by the host
- A certificate of participation for those who attend the full programme
- An official invitation letter to support visa applications if needed
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be aged 18 – 35
- Be citizens of OIC Member States or OIC Observer States, or representatives of Muslim communities in non-OIC countries
- Be able to communicate in English
- Have relevant experience in volunteer or humanitarian work and be able to provide proof of that experience
- Commit to participating in the full training programme
Application Process and Deadline
Applications are submitted online through the official ICYF platform. Applicants must register, complete the form, and upload required documents. The deadline to apply is 15 February 2026.
