The MPIA Summer Internship 2026 is a fully funded summer research internship offered by the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy (MPIA) in Germany. Who Can Apply?

● Be currently enrolled as a undergraduate (Bachelor’s) or master’s student
● Have completed at least four academic semesters if applying as a Bachelor’s student
● Remain enrolled and not graduate before the end of the internship period
● Demonstrate interest in astronomy, astrophysics, physics, computer science, engineering, or related fields
● Applicants of all nationalities are eligible including groups traditionally underrepresented in astronomy

The internship typically runs for up to three months between May and September 2026.
